Shame says something is wrong with you. Fear says do not let anyone see it. So you pull back, or you perform, and the pulling back becomes the proof. One free hour on how that cycle seals itself, and the one place it can actually be interrupted.
If you took the Formation Snapshot and your lowest numbers landed around what you actually believe, this is the workshop that goes with that answer. Not because your faith is thin, but because the belief underneath it was never argued into place, so it cannot be argued out.
Most people try to fix this at the wrong point in the loop. They work on the behavior, the withdrawing or the over-functioning, and get nowhere, because the behavior is the last link in the chain rather than the first.
This hour walks the whole cycle in order, out loud, with room to see your own version of it.
1 · The moment. Something happens. Often something small, and often a long time ago.
2 · Shame. Your mind answers the question “why did that happen” with “because of something about me.”
3 · Fear. If that is true about me, I cannot let it be seen.
4 · Protective isolation. So you hide it. You withdraw, or you perform hard enough that nobody looks closely. And then the distance that creates becomes fresh evidence for step 2.
Everyone’s runs the same four moves, but the content is personal. You leave with yours written down in your own words, which is most of the work.
A belief with no known origin just feels like the truth about you. Traced back to an actual moment, it becomes something that happened once and got mistaken for a permanent fact.
Three of the four moves are automatic. One is not. We spend real time on that one, because it is the only place a choice actually exists.
Before you leave. Saying it in the room first is what makes it available to you later, when it is not a workshop, just a Tuesday.
Free, one hour, on Zoom. If nothing is listed yet, the workshop calendar has every date as it goes up.
This workshop names the loop. Naming is real work and it already loosens the grip, but naming is not the same as replacing.
The $7 guide takes the naming further, on your own, with a pen. The Breaking Free course is the full four-module walk: name it, understand why it stuck, take it to Jesus, and build a practice that holds. Neither one is a prerequisite for the other, and this workshop is complete on its own.
Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or crisis intervention, and a free workshop is none of those either. What an hour can do is give you language and show you the shape of the thing. If you’re in crisis right now, call or text 988.
